American Made Patriotism

Shane and Justis Henderson, a badass father-son duo from Wisconsin is known for their patriotic work all over the United States. Shane, founder of Metal Art of Wisconsin and Justis, founder of Flags by Justishave separate ventures but often join forces, especially when it comes to giving back to the community. Just last year, the father-son duo came together to donate customized patriotic metal art to the families of service members killed in Afghanistan.

It’s not too often you see art made of metal especially metal flags of all things, but Shane Henderson possesses the tools necessary to be the best in this tight niche. He wasn’t always an artist as he had a job in welding for the first 10 years of his professional career. This 10-year experience in Colorado served as the benchmark for transitioning from a regular blue-collar job in welding to creating the nationally recognized, American-made Metal Art of Wisconsin.

Shane developed the idea to create beautiful American flags and cabinetry using metal and wood over five years ago and brought his son Justis into training. Justis soon developed enough skills to build his own business just across the street from his dad’s. This 18-year-old uses a proprietary chemical process and takes as long as 45 hours to complete each customized flag, all handmade and all different from each other.

In 2017, Shane and his son invented the “Freedom Cabinet,” a creative and innovative way to hide what Shane likes to call, “all your dirty little secrets,” which we’ll leave to your imagination…

The Freedom Cabinets are American flags that are made of wood, steel and are professionally detailed and painted to the customer’s liking. As the only company in the entire world that makes carbon fiber flags, Metal Art of Wisconsin offers a variety of different creations for Americans of all walks of life to enjoy. With a price range of $200-$3,000 these services can be affordable without compromising uniqueness and functionality.

While Shane still has a day job in marketing in machinery, he dedicates 7 days a week to his incredibly fast-growing empire of flags of steel. His son Justis is following his father’s footsteps as the most successful 18-year-old in this industry. This 18-year-old and his father have been featured in Fox News’ Fox and Friends, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, Rolling stone Magazine, the Fabricator Magazine, ABC…too many times to count.

This father-son duo believes heavily in giving back to the community. The company has donated an astonishing $250,000 worth of art to our nation’s heroes. Front liners from all over the country are nominated on their Instagram, @flagsforfortitude and receive personalized flags from Shane and Justis. With these 100% American-made and manufactured works of art, Metal Art of Wisconsin and Flags by Justis are just getting started with revolutionizing the world of metal art one flag at a time.
