The African American actress/producer/media correspondent, raised by blue-collar parents in the urban community of Kansas City, Missouri, once considered joining the US Marine Corp. Antoinette felt as though the military after high school was the only option enforced in her household; however, she was creative and had other plans. Luckily, some of her relatives and her drama teacher talked her out of joining the military. The decision to focus on acting paid off. At age 17, she won “Best Actress” in the French play by Jean-Paul Sartre called “No Exit”. The audience was captivated by her role as the evil lesbian, Inez Serrano. Antoinette thrived in theatre arts and continued her passion for performing. Kansas City has a small entertainment sector with very few lucrative opportunities. She decided in her mid-twenties to make that pivotal move to Los Angeles, CA. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it has paid off in more ways than one.
In the early 2000s, she landed a few commercials such as Colgate, Carl’s Jr, and Blockbuster. Landed a guest spot on Days of Our Lives and continued to get booked in independent films. Antoinette appeared on the “Tyra Banks Show,” where she was asked to highlight her unique bathing suit made out of produce. The following year, she graduated with her BFA in Fine Arts from the Art Institute. During her last year in school, she got an internship position with Mercedes Benz/ IMG Fashion Week in both Los Angeles and New York City. This is where she developed her skills as a leader and producer, gaining firsthand experience in fashion show production. In 2009, Antoinette started her own creative production company called, “Exhibit Ambush”. Within the next couple of years, she opened her production workspace in downtown San Diego, CA, in the historic Gaslamp District. Her team produced biannual creative events showcasing fashion designers, artists, musicians, and models. Exhibit Ambush was a collaborative entertainment and event production that took pride in donating to local nonprofits such as Amazon Foundation, Susan G. Komen, San Diego Humane Society, Father Joe’s Village, and Habitat for Humanity. Exhibit Ambush received a ton of press coverage, created a mentorship program for college interns, and gained more than twenty corporate sponsors. Antoinette has been acknowledged for her leadership and hard work by winning awards such as Business Women of the Year, Leader of the Quarter, and Women in Media in San Diego, CA.
In July 2023, Antoinette graduated with her MBA from Northcentral University. She is currently booked in two science fiction films that are in pre-production and slated to produce a docuseries based on the lack of quality education in America. Antoinette is in full support of the Writer’s Guild and SAG strike. Her productions are on hold until there’s a fair deal for both SAG/AFTRA. This is the first time since 1960 that both unions have been on strike together. On a positive note, Antoinette received her first producer credit for the Food Network’s “Fuller Farmer” – Memorable Meals episode. You can also catch her in a cameo role in the psychological thriller, “Land of Wolves” directed by Raul Urreola. She’s emphasized that acting has always been her passion; however, she’s hyper-focused and in love with film/tv production. Her kindness and zest for life, even when faced with challenges, make her an inspirational magnet easy to follow.
Something you don’t know about Antoinette: She works as a Hollywood Correspondent, Model, Publicist, and Creative Consultant when she’s not working on a film project.
The person she has been most starstruck by … Al Pacino
The person Antoinette is dying to work with…… Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, or Bradley Cooper
During the pandemic, she started…. Cooking healthier food, eating more organic produce, binge-watching “Dead to Me” on Netflix, and reading more books.
If Antoinette weren’t an artist, she would be… “A Radiologist”
Social issues she’s enthusiastic about changing are…. “I think housing, education, mental health issues, and homelessness are issues I care about. Ignoring those issues is making the problem worse. We need immediate solutions, and would it be providing more housing, guaranteed income, more mental health facilities, or simply decreasing the rent? There needs to be some plan in action for the economic disparity that’s getting out of control.”
