During his time there, he managed critical, division-wide projects impacting service, quality, profitability, and lead time. He also led and facilitated teams of up to 20 personnel, contributing to a $35 million operating cost reduction realized through the development and implementation of Cellular Manufacturing. 

Chuck’s ability to streamline operations and optimize processes proved invaluable during his time at La-Z-Boy, as he oversaw a 20% lead-time reduction of leather unit production in less than a year. Additionally, he contributed to $2.7 million in capital ex and process improvements to production efficiency and quality, resulting in a 1.35-year ROI. 

Chuck’s educational background is as diverse as his experience, holding a Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from the University of Toledo, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena Heights University, and an Associate of General Studies in Computer Programming from Central Texas College. He also holds various certifications, including an Associate Certificate in Project Management from ESI International/George Washington University and a Certified Lead Assessor of Quality Systems: ISO 9000 from the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
