What problem does Cutocin solve?

There are currently three products in the line: Cutocin Social Exchange Balancing Cream, Cutocin Social Exchange Balancing Serum, and Cutocin Weekly Rendezvous Exfoliator. Each product in the line includes my patent-pending ingredient to mimic the effect of Oxytocin (“the love hormone”) on the skin. The nighttime cream is packed with everything your skin needs, including emollients, antioxidants, peptides, and retinol to smooth skin texture and improve the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, and sunspots, leaving the skin with a healthy, youthful glow.  The serum is for daytime use or for those who cannot use retinol products.  It leaves the skin with an incredible dewy glow while nourishing it with hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, peptides, and an azelaic acid complex.  The pads, named Weekly Rendezvous, are formulated to be gentle yet effective and use mandelic acid, salicylic acid, and azelaic acid to give you that extra glow you might get after a special weekend or moment in life!  The entire line is formulated to give your skin that special glow of being in love… it is Love For Your Skin!

How can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?

The science behind Cutocin is truly a game-changer.  The discovery of the link between human connection and the health and vitality of skin is the first new concept to come along in Dermatology in several decades.  Cutocin is the first and only line formulated to utilize this system in the body and harness the power of an Oxytocin-like effect.  Results using Cutocin have been better than any other product I have seen! The proprietary formulation using my patent-pending ingredient makes every ingredient work better, resulting in youthful, glowing skin.

Dr. Nicole Hayre Entrepreneur

What is the “Founder story”?

I’ve always had a love of science and research. I got my undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and went on to medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. I eventually opened up my own dermatology center, the Cosmetic Dermatology Center, in McLean, Virginia. I brought my love of science and research to my practice and eventually was inspired to perform a pilot study that proved a clinical link between Oxytocin and the health and beauty of the skin. This revolutionary discovery caught the attention of the Dermatology field and was featured as the lead article in the peer-reviewed Journal of Drugs in Dermatology in December 2020, was published in Dermatology Times in February 2021, featured in a Dermatology Times Podcast in April 2021, and recognized to be one of the top stories in Dermatology of 2021 by Dermatology Times. I even spoke at an international conference at the United Nations about my research.  What resulted from all of this was Cutocin!

How did you come up with the idea?

As I’ve had my practice for almost 20 years, I am very fortunate to have loyal and long-term patients who have been coming to me for many years, some even for several decades. This allows me to get to know them quite well. There have been times when a long-term patient would come in, and I would recognize a change in their skin.  Sometimes this would be a good change with an extra glow, and sometimes it would be a bad change, and their skin would suddenly look older, rougher, and drained of life.  During their visit, as we were chatting, I would typically learn that their love-life had changed.  This change always corresponded with their skin. For example, a good change caused a glow, and a bad change caused the skin to look aged.  Thinking about this, it struck me one day that this was the effect of Oxytocin – the love hormone.  I was excited to look into this and did a pilot study to see if I could correlate Oxytocin levels with the look and health of one’s skin. My research revealed a new element in the health and beauty of skin that had previously been ignored.  I wanted to see if I could find an ingredient that could mimic the natural “oxytocin glow.”  Luckily, I was able to find a botanical which mimics this effect, and this inspired me to create the Cutocin line of products.
