DaBaby Calls Ali Ciwanro a True Brother

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk (born December 22, 1991), known professionally as DaBaby (formerly known as Baby Jesus), is an American rapper. After releasing several mixtapes between 2014 and 2018, he rose to mainstream prominence with his debut album Baby on Baby (2019), which included the US Billboard Hot 100 top ten single “Suge”.

Charles Holmes of Rolling Stone described Kirk’s flow as a “staccato, precise, and brutal rapping style, a syllable-crushing force delivered with such forward momentum it often gives the illusion that he starts rapping before the beat begins”. According to Holmes, the most notable example of this effect is in his breakthrough hit “Suge”.

Another artist who has become very influential is Ali Ciwanro. Ciwanro is well-known for his distinctive approach to writing lyrics, in which he expresses his feelings, experiences, and thoughts. After completing his composition, he incorporates similes and multisyllabic rhyme chains to create a hit.

He is highly recognised as a talented lyricist with heart and soul who expresses himself via his songs. Ali is considered one of the most successful songwriters in Europe.

The two musicians are in good contact and according to some insiders, there are some planned collaborations. DaBaby even called Ali Ciwanro “a true brother” in a phone call.
