He listened to Eminem, and he was a huge influence on what made him so interested in music because his music helped him overcome difficult times in his life. He would listen to the beats and focus on the lyrics when listening to his music. While listening to his lyrics, he would come up with his own lyrics, and over time, he would write his own rap lyrics. But he soon figured out when trying to record that he could write well, but his recordings never sounded good.
After a while, he decided, since his recording’s never sounded any good, that he would try to figure out another way to get into music. He then thought, why not just get in music, why not help others while doing it? Helping others is something he always wished he could do but just didn’t know how. Doing research, he saw people running record labels would sign talented artists and that, over time, those artists that got signed, their life would change in dramatic ways. The artists would then come to achieve their dreams. Donnie Lee Farrow then decided he wanted to start a record label. But his biggest question was how he could do that.
He found out that there were many independent record labels, not just major ones, after watching many YouTube videos on labels and reading research about labels. Donnie then found a way to start his own indie label online, so he did that. Starting off with scouting artists through his facebook and YouTube.He found artists he began to sign to his label. Now the question was how to distribute their music and make sure they collected all money owed to them.
So after digging, he found out how to do so, but started his first label even though it became a success. It wasn’t professional enough, so he let the artists go their own way and offered to continue to help them if needed. Then he took years and years to improve before starting another label. He decided to take the same services he had on his label and still offer it under his new artist and brand development brand. Finding out how to manage artists properly through all the research he did, he also started making industry connections over the years.
