As Adam Nadel, my journey in marketing began like many others—working within leading agencies alongside talented mentors who shaped my approach to creativity, strategy, and innovation. I was fortunate to play a role in groundbreaking campaigns that allowed me to see firsthand how a brilliant marketing strategy can transform not only brands but also the lives of those they touch.
But as fulfilling as those experiences were, I found myself increasingly unsettled. Something was missing. I realized I wanted my work to reflect my values and to address a significant gap I had observed in the industry. Too often, I saw brands failing to authentically engage with the queer community. Representation was either lacking or superficial, riddled with clichés that failed to honor the complexity and power of the LGBTQIA+ audience.
That realization inspired me to take a leap. I transitioned into freelancing with a mission to bring authenticity, inclusivity, and purpose to queer marketing. My work as Adam Nadel isn’t just about creating campaigns—it’s about driving meaningful change and empowering both brands and communities.
In my freelance practice, I focus on:
Creative freedom: The ability to think beyond the boundaries of traditional agencies allows me to craft bold, impactful stories.
Partnering with queer-affirming brands: I seek out collaborations with companies that share my commitment to equality and inclusivity.
Advocating for authentic representation: True representation means centering the voices and experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals in campaigns, not just as an afterthought but as a priority.
Promoting ethical approaches to marketing: Authenticity and respect are non-negotiable. I ensure brands build trust and avoid tokenism.
Leveraging specialized platforms to connect with the community: Platforms like Taimi, Grindr, HER, Scruff, Jack’d, Adam4Adam, and GROWLr are powerful tools for engaging authentically with LGBTQIA+ audiences.
The queer community represents enormous cultural influence and spending power, yet traditional advertising often overlooks or misrepresents them. Specialized platforms offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with this audience in ways that are meaningful and effective.

As Adam Nadel, I don’t just help brands navigate these platforms; I educate teams on how to truly understand the community they’re engaging with. I teach them to craft campaigns that resonate, build trust, and reflect the values of inclusivity and representation. Together, we go beyond marketing to create partnerships that matter—campaigns that uplift and empower the queer community while driving success for the brands that serve them.
Queer marketing, to me, is more than a professional focus—it’s a personal mission. It’s about shaping a future where every campaign is a step toward greater understanding, representation, and equality. With the right strategy, we can make that future a reality.
