Eric Allen lives with one value and guiding philosophy close to his heart: treat others the way you want to be treated. It’s the Golden Rule, a pure ethic of reciprocity, and it’s been the motivating idea behind his career of leadership and community building. As a driven and empathetic leader, Allen is consistently using his expertise and career experience to improve the world around him.
Humble Beginnings
Eric Allen’s community- and people-oriented goals trace back decades and begin with a passion for education and sports. After getting his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and a Bachelor of the Arts in Business Education from Indiana University, he went on to get his Master’s Degree in School Counseling. With such a strong foundation in education and leadership, it’s not surprising that Eric Allen would go on to find success.
In the heart of Indianapolis, as the varsity head coach of Indianapolis Manual High School, he was one of the youngest head coaches in the IHSAA Class 4A and helped the team improve from a 3-17 record to a tied 11-11 in his first season. Through empathetic and driven leadership, he was able to drive the team to the program’s strongest winning percentage in two decades. This successful teaching and coaching career would extend up into Division I college basketball.
“I love to pour guidance and light into youth coming from tragic backgrounds,” Allen says, “Nothing warms our hearts more than running into former students and athletes we coached, hearing their stories . . . that made a transformational impact on their lives.”
However, this wouldn’t last forever, and before long, Allen found himself dissatisfied. The lifestyle of his role clashed with the balanced family life he dreamed of, and he found a new path as an entrepreneur.
Entrepreneurship and A Dream
Eric Allen’s professional career has been defined by two things: his desire to improve the world and a wide-ranging array of companies to fulfill that desire. Over the past 20 or more years, he’s founded over a dozen companies across many sectors, collectively changing millions of lives and generating billions of dollars in revenue. The network marketing business model has been the secret to his success and the mode in which he thinks his dream of a better world can be fulfilled.
For most of his life, Eric Allen has had a grand dream. He dreams of a truly global force for good that galvanizes people of all walks of life to empower themselves, their neighbors, and their communities to make the world a better place. It is in the pursuit of that dream that Allen became the President and Co-Founder of Nélo Life, a movement built upon the foundations of the relationship marketing industry.
Allen says, “It’s been a lot of hard work and sleepless nights, but we feel we are truly co-creating a movement that will bless many people’s lives across the world.”
Nélo Life: Business and Philosophy
Nélo Life is more than a business: it’s a community, a movement, and a guiding mission. The movement’s goals and philosophy are enshrined in its own name as an acronym: Nurturing Excellence, Living Optimally. The Nélo Life movement is all about leveraging relationships to uplift humanity across the globe, and Eric Allen hopes it will create a lasting, positive, impactful legacy on the world—and set a new standard of industry excellence.
Nélo Life operates under the belief that achieving excellence shouldn’t be limited to just one aspect of life, and to that end seeks to give paying members the opportunities to access lifestyle and travel experiences they wouldn’t otherwise be able to explore. With three foundational core values—Transparency, Trust, and Transformation—Nélo Life aims to give members new opportunities, new community, and new experiences.
A Spirit Of Resilience And Self-Improvement
As much as his company, Nélo Life, strives to empower people to make the world a better place, Eric Allen is constantly working to improve his skills, expand his knowledge base, and become the best man he can be. In doing so, he hopes to be a better husband, father, and community leader, and so he takes ongoing education and learning seriously.
For example, keeping abreast of new developments in the relationship marketing industry requires, unsurprisingly, relationships and a robust network of peers to share ideas with. Eric Allen stays closely connected with top trends, technologies, organizations, and committees to stay abreast of industry best practices. In the modern environment, this often requires making transformative changes with a data-driven perspective to keep up with shifting market demands and new technology.
The constant adaptability required of a professional in Allen’s chosen industry is only one trait that determines his success. The other is resilience, the ability to make mistakes and recover from them without giving up or collapsing. Eric Allen attributes his success more to his resilience than his trained adaptability—the ability to stay committed and dedicated though hard or uninteresting times is what separates the wheat from the chaff.
“Successful people tend to stay excited and committed longer than most when the moment of original decisions are made,” Allen says. “They know it can be lonely at times, and they also recognize that great success is often achieved in obscurity. It is the things we are doing day in and day out when no one is looking—all the ‘little,’ mundane things—that ultimately determine our outcomes.”

Eyes On The Future
Eric Allen’s dream is a work in progress, and he’s excited to continue down his chosen path toward it. His idea of success is not defined by the acquisition of material goods, but instead is marked by the creation of a legacy of positive change in the world and in his community. In addition to his work with Nélo Life, Eric Allen contributes his time and resources to a number of community projects and charities, including a 501(c)3 charity he started with his wife that donates a majority of their money to vetted charities. He’s also personally active in his local church, Little League teams, orphanages, and other organizations offering aid to those in need.
