Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
Cat 5 produced by WeathermanDan is a major difference in my sound I never used distortion much on vocals as I did with this record. The inspiration like every record was a reflection of the times. I feel like so many are talking but no one is listening so we all need to take a moment to Shut up and listen. in my opinion
What is unique about you and your music?
I think what’s unique about me is my story. Growing up on a farm in NC made me a man before it was time to be one. My life is in every record I think that’s the difference between me and so many. I’m exactly who I say I am in these records which allow me to always be relevant. I don’t have to make up anything to be interesting I’ve done a lot and seen a lot and speak on it with such confidence you have to believe it cause it feels real and genuine.
What shaped your music?
What shaped my music was growing up listening to music my family played from Harold Melvin and the Blue notes to the Ojays with that Philly soul behind powerful messages. Growing up on music like that can mold you in ways for the better.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
After I got out of the United States Marine Corps I knew it was nothing else I wanted to do Music played a major part in y life so it was only fitting I do what I love even if I never made money from it I was gonna do it. expressing how I see the world is how I deal with the world.
What type of music do you listen to?
Besides me LOL Big Krit, Jcole, Lupe, Adrain Young, Kendrick, Ye, Hov, Common, Moon child, the list goes on I listen to everything I feel in order to be a great artist you have to listen to other great artists.
What inspires you to write music?
My life its been a helluva ride and I still have more to do; when I can’t pull from my life I look at the problems in the world and find solutions in which my music can play a part.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
Besides music I’m a big gamer I love Madden and being a combat vet I love playing Warzone with my son and my cousins who live in other states we are on twitch daily streaming having fun and making people laugh be sure to come to check us out sometimes (DeanofSRA/Twitch.TV)

Happiness to me is peace, with peace; I have time to think and time to appreciate everything I have and where I’m headed so yea peace is true happiness to me.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Learn everything about the craft of what you are trying to do so you can build the team you need to help you win. I think what’s been taking me so long is trying to build that team but it took years to learn certain things and I’m still learning as I go but I think that it’s very vital for artists to learn how this business works
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
Being Indie and not having a huge team behind me Im taking it one song at a time my goal this year is to drop a song every month and continue to build up my catalog. I’ve been pulling songs from this album I have called Colorway which is TBD when I will release it but I’m seeing what songs ppl like and what they don’t so I can make and give the best album I possibly can.
