Football Is Sexy Innovation
What problem does the app “Football Is Sexy” solve?
There are millions of people who never had that one person or family member in their life who took the time to teach them football. If you want to learn the game, there is nowhere to go. You can try to google a few things here and there, but it’s very frustrating and hard to learn that way. That’s why I created the “Football Is Sexy” app. Now, you have everything you need to know and learn right at your fingertips. It’s now accessible to everyone, seamless, and so much fun. You have the football glossary, where each definition was written by Monica, the CEO and founder, to help make football terms easy to understand and sprinkled with a little bit of humor. Additionally, there are ten easy lessons that teach users the basics of the game, making them part of the fandom in no time.
How can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?
The connections you have with other fans, the random conversations that start at an airport or a coffee shop just because you are wearing football apparel, are life-changing. Many of my long-term friends started out over the 49ers and Cowboys. It helps one connect with family, friends, and co-workers. It’s not uncommon for people to hear others talking about football, whether it be at work or at family holiday functions, and they feel excluded and usually walk away. Now, they can actually join in the conversation because they know more about the game than they used to. It is a different language that will give you more connections and lasting memories than you could have ever imagined. No one I know has ever regretted learning the game. In fact, it’s the opposite!

Tell us more about your story and the motivation behind Football Is Sexy.
My entire life has changed because of my love for football. I cannot imagine my life without it. It hurts my heart to think there are millions of people out there that are missing out. I just can’t let that happen, so I made it my mission to teach the game and help others understand, feel, and see why being a part of the fandom is so amazing. We want to unite people around the globe through inclusivity and knowledge, one fan at a time, and help build a community for all people but especially women.
How did you come up with the idea?
My passion has always been football! Growing up, my father would take me to Candlestick Park to watch his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers, and it became everything to me. Once he passed away from cancer in 2014, I realized how many memories we had surrounding our team and the sport. I couldn’t fathom others going through life without sports, let alone football. I felt bad for all the people who didn’t have a clue what they were missing. There is nothing like being in the stands, feeling the energy of the crowd, or cheering on your favorite team with your friends and family through the TV. It brings friends, family, and community together. Then it dawned on me: if you didn’t grow up with an amazing culture of football like I did, where would you even begin? I realized there was no easy way to learn the game, and that’s how “Football Is Sexy” was born.
Football Is Sexy Reviews
What do customers love most about the show and app? What feedback are you getting?
The best is hearing that it has helped women connect with their husband and/or their son. It doesn’t get better than that. A lot of people really seem to like the quizzes, too. You get a daily quiz and even though you may not get it right, you are starting to be part of the culture as you learn the language and important players or terms along the way. The glossary seems to be a big hit, but of course, it’s the ten lessons. It shows them that they can and will learn and have fun doing it!
