How JK Molina Built a Social Media Empire and Exited a 7 Figures SaaS Company

Social media has become an indispensable part of everyone’s lives. It has changed our lifestyles and work cultures in several ways, from discovering new ideas to learning about trends and even connecting for business and work. Thanks to the growing popularity of social media platforms, we now have numerous career options apart from slogging away at a 9 to 5 desk job. 22-year-old entrepreneur JK Molina is proof of this. He scaled up his career from a door-to-door job to monetizing his presence on social media and making a staggering 6 figures every month.

JK’s journey to success began in Guatemala. In 2017, he started selling perfumes door-to-door, saving up enough money to enroll in business classes. While working during the day, JK attended classes at night to learn more about business fundamentals and develop new skills. JK was fortunate to meet a more experienced colleague in one of his classes who took him under his wing and mentored him. Through this relationship, JK was able to learn valuable aspects of the business world that helped him lay the foundation for a successful career.

In 2020, JK made the decision to explore the world of digital media by joining a digital marketing agency that specialized in the real estate industry. Through an internship at the agency, Molina had the chance to learn the ropes of the real business world. He was however soon laid off from his job after making a mistake, but this setback did not deter him from pursuing his passion for entrepreneurship.

Through his previous work, JK had developed a good relationship with the CEO of the agency, who offered him a job as a virtual assistant. At that time, JK stumbled onto the power of Twitter and was amazed to see how many people were making a living off the platform. This inspired him to continue exploring the potential of social media and digital marketing which eventually led him to start building his own social media presence and grow a vast following.

As JK continued to share valuable insights on mindset and self-improvement on his Twitter account, he was thrilled to see his follower base grow to over 50,000. This impressive growth allowed him to generate a monthly income of $30,000, but JK soon realized that having a large following didn’t guarantee financial success. He later stumbled on an accountant with a following of only 900 followers making the same amount of money as he was using Twitter, which showed him that the key to success on the platform wasn’t the size of the audience, but rather what you did with it.

After establishing a successful audience on Twitter, JK partnered with tech-savvy entrepreneurs Thibault and Thomas to develop TweetHunter, a platform for automating Twitter growth and posting. JK’s large following and expertise in social media helped TweetHunter gain traction and achieve success rapidly. Earlier this year, JK decided to exit the company at a 7 figure valuation. This successful venture further solidified JK’s position as a leader in the world of Twitter audience building.

JK never set goals for himself. “They’re always changing. So not really my thing.” He said. Instead, he accepts challenges as they come and overcomes them to move forward. JK Molina wants other social media users to start creating content on social and pursue careers in something they are passionate about.
