A decade’s worth of experience

 

Between 2011 and 2013, Ahmed found himself studying Political Science, falling in love with the idea of entrepreneurship, and coming up with ideas to start his own business. He was working for a company called ACN. Although that was not his passion or dream job, he used this experience to learn more about owning his business.

 

The idea of becoming an entrepreneur was highly attractive, so he took a step back from university and began working in sales to improve his skills and gain experience. “Over the next few years, I continued working sales jobs (everything from call center work to door-to-door) while trying to build different businesses on the side too.” At that point in his life, the business-building part of his career was mostly spent on personal development.

 

By the middle of the decade, Ahmed took several courses to learn and perfect his skills. He learned about dropshipping from AliExpress and Shopify. He decided to start his e-commerce business selling products sourced from China. “I ended up getting forced into shutting down the business when I eventually ran out of the cash I needed to keep running ads and sourcing products. It felt like everything was over for me at this point.” However, he did not give up, which led to his success.

Towards the decade’s end, he decided to jump from e-commerce to affiliate marketing. He began using organic advertisements and growing his Facebook group. “Within that following month, I managed to make my first $1,000 in affiliate commissions. That was a game-changing experience because it finally instilled the belief in me that I could make a living online, and this would work if I just put my head down and committed to mastering the skills.”

 

By 2019, Ahmed believed in his ability to start his own business, he saw his Facebook work giving results, and decided to quit his job. He decided to focus full-time on affiliate marketing. However, he knew there was more he could do. “That is when I came up with my software CommentFunnels™️ and launched it. We now have around 1,000 weekly active users worldwide.” The following year, he increased his revenue and began sharing his advice and expertise through online courses and coaching with clients who wanted to succeed.
