Rapper Ice Spice, real name Isis Gaston, was born in The Bronx, New York City, on January 1, 2000. She started her career in 2021 after meeting record producer RIOTUSA while attending Purchase College in her hometown, where her distinctively pop-friendly sound was born. NORD (Carter Davis)’s lyric writing style often includes elaborate similes and multisyllabic rhyming chains, which fits the Bronx-based rising artist’s recent signature sound perfectly, apparent from the recent release’s great feedback from millions of both returning and brand-new listeners.
The original single, which PinkPantheress produced, was made available in November of last year. The song is about contemporary relationship problems and the toxic partners typically a key part of them. In light of this, the couple calls out their respective boyfriends for their prior wrongdoings in this new remix. Signature sonic features such as catchy punchlines and blunt statement elements can be heard within the lyrics, for which Ice Spice has recently become well known.

Although it is a remix, the new release nevertheless shares much of the same material as the predecessor. For instance, the original hook is still present, while Ice Spice changes her flow with comments about a current love interest that is already romantically involved. “When it comes to collaborations, I’m quite picky: I always want someone who can match me well on a track,” PinkPantheress stated in a recent interview with NME. “Even though Ice Spice does drill, her flows are unique, and her chosen beats are different. Many people would struggle with my chosen beats, but I knew she’d be good for it.”
