After our founder, Alex Dorr, got diagnosed with Lymes Disease, his health took a total of 180. He dedicated himself to living a healthier way of life. After our founder, Alex Dorr, got diagnosed with Lymes Disease, his health took a total of 180. He dedicated himself to living a healthier way of life. Through his research, he found functional mushrooms were supportive of overall health and wellness. He graduated with a major in mycology (the study of mushrooms) with a hyper-focus on mycoremediation (how mushrooms can clean up toxic waste in our environment) and published a 230-page book on mycoremediation in 2017. He went on to launch Mushroom Revival and build the first and largest certified USDA organic Cordyceps militaris mushroom farm in the Americas. He’s one of the leading mycology experts in the world and is helping mushroom the culture of mushrooms. He has so much passion for spreading the word of mushrooms, he published his digital 230-page book on mycoremediation for anyone to download for free, open-sourced the new innovative technique for growing organic cordyceps militaris mushrooms commercially to create more organic mushroom farmers and also launched the world’s largest and longest-running mushroom podcast, making it easier for people to access free education around mushrooms.
How did they come up with the idea? And how can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?
Since mushrooms helped Alex so much with his own health, it was a no-brainer to help spread this to other people. From supporting energy, a sense of calm, our immune systems, our cognitive function, our body’s natural ability to combat occasional stress, and much more, mushrooms can do it all. Beyond that, Alex was obsessed with the power of mushrooms beyond supplements for their ability to help the world. From cleaning up toxic waste in our environment, storing up to 60% of carbon in our soils, creating new eco-friendly packaging and materials, creating new eco-friendly dyes, pigments, and fuels, creating new eco-friendly batteries, creating new eco-friendly bioinsecticides, and more.
