Jenn Drummond: Unbreakable Journey to Accountability

The Seven Second Summits has only been achieved once. Jenn Drummond is the second person in history to reach the second-highest peak on each continent. Drummond survived a near-fatal car crash in 2018. It was then she promised herself a life of intent, purpose, and accountability. As the first female to complete the Seven Seconds Summits, Drummond has made climbing Mt. Everest, the pinnacle of peaks, accessible from home.

“If you can climb Everest, I can climb Everest.” Jenn Drummond’s response: “You can!” She was speaking with children who actively tracked her progress as she made her journey up the historic peak. She returned a hero. The Utah mom of 7 empowered youth to set their own goals by sharing her experience. The Vertical 40 Everest Challenge brings the 29,029 feet climb of Mount Everest to home. The success was immediate. As Drummond completes the final stage of her monumental climb, the second Everest Challenge is in the works.

“You can climb something as big as Mount Everest if you do little actions every day.” Her philosophy is that the journey supersedes the destination. Climbing Everest at home is a metaphor, despite the reality of replicating the climb through Drummond’s innovative methodology. She replicated the climb using household items, an incredible task. Beyond climbing Everest, the significant message gained is her adherence to goals, steps, methods, and value in each decision. Small decisions create large results.
