My name is Beth Pestotnik, and I am passionate about skincare. I founded Skin Essentials Medical Skin Care & Day Spa and created The Essentials clinical skincare line.
I started my business in 1999 with a $5000 loan from my parents. I had a vision and the determination to do whatever it took to make my dream a reality, so I worked two other jobs to make ends meet. To grow my business, I overcame many challenges. For years, I operated completely on my own. I performed all the treatments and did everything else for the business. Most days, I spent ten hours in the treatment room and worked on the accounting/marketing side of the business late into the night while I washed and folded the laundry from the spa. In 2003, I hired my first employee and a few years later, I moved into a beautiful historic building in downtown Littleton, Colorado. I will celebrate twenty-three years in this business this September and an incredible team of thirteen therapists. I am still dedicated to providing result-driven treatments and products to improve the health and appearance of our skin dramatically.
One of my life goals was to create my own skincare line. After twenty-four years in this industry, one day, I finally said to myself, “what are you waiting for? You know this industry, and you know the right combination of ingredients for healthy skin!” I wanted to take the guessing game out of product selection for the consumer. This industry is flooded with skincare lines, making it confusing for consumers, especially when they see unrealistic marketing ploys like super-star faces. Some product lines are full of junk! I worked with a chemist for over two years, developing the Essentials line. I wanted to keep it clean and simple but effective to target and improve the signs of aging. The Essentials line is the perfect choice for anyone seeking an anti-aging routine without toxic ingredients. I am currently developing an acne line which I am very excited to launch later this year.
