Based in Charlotte, Joseph Patrick “JoePat” Roop is a seasoned financial planning executive who leads Belmont Capital Advisors and works closely with high-net-worth clients. As a Financial Advisor with over three decades of experience, JoePat has dedicated his career to helping individuals and families plan for their financial futures and achieve their financial goals.

JoePat’s background in the financial planning industry extends to the early 1990s. He started his investment career in 1992 as a college intern at Merrill Lynch and has since worked as an investment advisor for major banking institutions and investment firms, including MassMutual, LeggMason, and Prudential. After working in the corporate environment for many years, JoePat decided to leave and start his own boutique investment firm. In the spring of 2009, he founded Belmont Capital Advisors, Inc., a boutique investment firm that provides a more personalized and client-focused experience. 

JoePat’s dedication to his clients goes beyond just managing their investments. He takes a hands-on approach and is committed to getting to know each of his clients on a personal level. He wants to understand their individual needs and desires in order to create a financial plan that truly aligns with their goals for the future. His primary goal is always to optimize and monitor client portfolios and to alert clients of pertinent tax information and market and investment changes. He is committed to providing his clients with the best financial advice and guidance possible. 

Over the past 30 years, the financial investment market has seen a variety of dramatic changes, changes that JoePat has experienced firsthand. In addition to his work as a financial advisor, Joseph Patrick Roop is also an avid hunter and member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoys duck hunting and traveling to Beaufort, South Carolina, where he can pursue his passion for hunting.
