Midday Sons are releasing their full-length album “Where The Light Ends” soon and to give his listeners a preview, he released “My Love Will Always Find You” in September via eResources, Inc.’ Midday Sons’ is Dan Dillon’s moniker as a one-man band. Dillon, hailing from Florida, earned a master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering early on in his life. However, this is not the path down which he has primarily chosen to run, as he considers himself more of a student of music than physics and math.
As a young lad, Dillon was inspired by grunge bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Weezer, amongst others. This, along with the pressure to fit in, brought him to pick up a guitar and begin learning to play it. Playing his guitar gave him an outlet to connect with others and to find his place in the world.
While Dillon’s most significant influences include rock bands and his typical sound follows suit, his upcoming album, “Where The Light Ends,” and its lead single, “My Love Will Always Find You,” are more akin to pop music. This is because the album is dedicated to his three daughters and his wife, and he wanted the music to fit better to their listening preferences. That’s not to say this album won’t have its fair share of rock influence, as Dillon’s guitar still carries through the lead track and presumably on other tracks on the album.
“My Love Will Always Find You” is a melodic rock ballad dedicated to Dillon’s wife, whom he believes was fated to meet him. The chugging guitar riff gives it a classic rock sound, while the synths give breadth to the cloudy atmosphere of the song. His heartfelt vocals pepper the track, giving it meaning and strength.
“Where The Light Ends” will be Midday Sons’ debut full-length album, set to be released on November 25th, 2022. In the meantime, make sure to stream “My Love Will Always Find You” and visit Midday Sons’ website for updates on their journey and new releases.
