His rise to success gained him the name The RnB King of Shreveport, which became the title of his album. He sold the record at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and FYE, making history for his city as the first R&B album in 17 years to sell around the country.
His talent and musical knowledge awarded him nominations at the Akademia Awards, winning Best R&B/Soul Album and Best R&B/Soul Music video in 2018. It was the same organization that nominated him and sent him home with the recognition of Rising Star in 2021. Roe first worked with Rawls on his music video “Bees and Birds,” leading to his first significant film role as Mike Batts on 5th Ward The Series.
