What problem does the MyBevi solve?
MyBevi vacuum insulated beverage tumblers and hydration bottles were created for the consumer to utilize as durable and reusable daily use products made from the highest food-grade stainless steel worldwide. We created a slogan BYOC (Bring your own Cup) almost 20 years ago and at a time before there was increased social awareness (that we, fortunately, do have today) regarding the harm that the excessive volume of disposable beverage container waste was causing to our environment in our landfills and on our streets and in our waters.
BYOC (Bring your own Cup) was initiated with our goal of encouraging consumers to buy and help to eliminate the amount of daily waste created from paper, Styrofoam, and plastic disposable cups and bottles by providing the consumers with the ability to refill and reuse our MyBevi products on a daily basis for years and years. The slogan “Refill, Reuse and Rehydrate “was a slogan that RRG created many years ago and is still a mantra used often today by many other competitive container companies.
Tell us about the founder. What is their background?
Jeff Rohe created and started a company and business in 1998 named Retail Resource Group (RRG) Jeff had been doing his diligence for a couple of years prior and learned that for the majority of travel tumbler and bottle products available to consumers were of basic design and low quality. He decided to build a better mousetrap so to speak. Products that had a wow factor and that provided retailers with good, better, best philosophy with his product designs. Jeff’s professional background prior to 1998 was primarily in sales and marketing management and selling consumer products into major retail chains for various manufacturers over a 14-year period. His vision was in 1998 and is the vision that is still going strong today is for RRG to focus exclusively on marketing premium quality distinctive travel tumblers and hydration bottles and to be innovators in the industry. Products that are not only extremely durable but are safe to use over and over on a daily basis for many years and that offer a great value to the consumer. Beyond Jeff having creative skills and an eye for future trends and even more important is the experienced and skilled family team at RRG (his wife Christine is the COO, his nephew Chris Brooks is the VP of Sales/Marketing, and his son Nate is the Director of E-commerce/Customer Service) are able to pivot quickly in order to develop many unique and fresh new product designs. Many of Jeff’s original product designs have been copied or “knocked off “as they say over the last 23 years. Not to say that he is pleased or we enjoy when we find companies that have infringed on his/our team ideas etc., but in his words “imitation by others is actually the best example of flattery of a great design and product. When competitors want to copy our products we obviously did something right “.
From 1998 up until 2016 the RRG company had been marketing 2 brands of drinkware products, Quench Hydration Products that were primarily for cold beverage use, and Savor Premium Drinkware, which was primarily for hot beverage use. Both were notably successful and were sold in the largest retail stores in the USA and Canada. In 2016 the decision was made to combine those brands and the intended use of each brand of products into 1 larger but multi-faceted use brand name and that is MyBevi.
How can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?
Going forward into 2022 and beyond, and based on our commitment to do our part in helping to combat global warming and climate change; MyBevi is committed to using recycled plastics and most importantly recycled ocean plastics where applicable in our products and components that are made of verified safe recycled plastics. We are also partnering with our China-based production factories to be GRS certified and to achieve the goal of “The Better Planet Project “. This is an objective to increase the use of “verified materials “and from credible third-party certification for each stage of materials in the supply chain that comprises MyBevi products. For our future ability to provide trackable recycled stainless steel used for our tumblers and bottles is unique and trendsetting and RRG /MyBevi brand will be on the leading edge of this global initiative that certainly is going to become the required standard in 3 to 5 years. We are proud to be on the front side of this effort.
