PDM—The First Agency for Multicultural Talents

According to Edison Research, podcast consumption trends show that around 50% of Americans have listened to podcasts and approximately 70% of Americans are familiar with the podcasting concept. This accounts for over 130 million podcast listeners. Overall, podcasts have become much more popular in these few years, especially among millennials and gen-Zers. Agency

Since the pandemic, the world, especially the United States has acclimated to finding ways to continue to spread the word on up-and-coming talent. Particularly, the podcasting space has demonstrated how easy it can be to launch shows rapidly rising in popularity.

Founded by Gary Coichy, POD Digital Media is the first service agency dedicated to helping multicultural podcasters and their programs. Gary is working with numerous shows and companies to broadcast their talent. POD Media allows multicultural podcasters to able to substantially scale and monetize their brands. Gary Coichy is a highly educated man with a bachelor’s from Berkeley College in White Plains, New York, and an executive certificate from Cornell University.

After 16 years of working at agencies, from Omnicom Media Group to Laundry Service, Coichy noticed an alarming gap in the podcast market for the Black and Hispanic communities.  This realization served as the benchmark to his success as the first full-service agency for multicultural podcasters and programs. Additionally, with the release of their new app, “PMD Pod Digital Media,” they have become the first-ever app to solely feature Black, Latino and Asian podcasts with over 400 to choose from.

Coichy has been growing the business for over 4 years now; his motivation began as he realized that white Americans for the most part we’re making the most money and gaining the most recognition in the podcast space as well as the talent industry. Recently in a partnership with Mcdonalds, POD Media is growing by the day and continues to expand its leadership in the podcast space.

As a goal to elevate the podcast industry as a whole, Coichy uses his extensive background in advertising agencies to connect with advertisers and content creators all over social media platforms. With no day job and an end goal to continue helping talented individuals to monetize their brands, he makes a daily effort to focus solely on the growth of his company. Recently, Gary moved to South Florida where he plans on connecting with the large Latino population and finding talent that needs their voices heard.
