Unveiled at Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and spirits trailblazer Sammy Hagar’s 75th birthday celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Sammy’s Lost Cask limited-edition batch of his Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum will be available for sale on Monday, Nov. 14.
Legend has it that Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum’s original Hawaiian rum was placed into oak casks for aging a few thousand feet above sea level in Makawao on the slopes of Haleakala, in Maui. Fondly referred to as “Rested in Paradise” (RIP) by Hagar, the lost casks were found years later, long after the production was relocated to Puerto Rico in 2015.
The 500 numbered bottles, including 75 bottles that Hagar has personally autographed, are aged more than a decade in oak casks, made from Hawaiian sugar cane and are guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas if ordered by Cyber Monday, Nov. 28. Hagar describes Sammy’s Lost Cask as his “crown jewel of Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum,” expressing that the bottles have “aged to perfection.”
Made from pure cane juice harvested on the island of Maui and distilled into rum at the Hali’imaile Distillery, the original recipe for Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum is celebrated in this exclusive batch of Sammy’s Lost Cask.
