What problem does the product solve?
Artistscent creates beautifully scented candles in partnership with artists. Each candle’s design is thoughtfully derived from an original piece of art, which is adapted and permanently screened onto reusable glass vessels through an exclusive license. Artistscent works closely with their artists to create custom fragrances that complement each piece and bring it to a new dimension. It is a fusion of art and scent like no other.
How can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?
Artistscent candles fuse art and fragrance to create an entirely new masterpiece, providing a flicker of comfort and beauty to your home. Artistscent allows each owner to experience art in a new multi-sensorial way. Each candle is made with a high-quality soy wax blend and cotton wicks for a nice, even burn. All candles are free from parabens, phthalates, sulfates, synthetic dyes and are cruelty-free.

Tell us about the founder. What is their background?
Founder Natalie Kuhles spent her career as an expert in the fragrance business—20 years developing fragrances for a global beauty company and 20 years managing a terrific creative team for a well-known fragrance supplier. During this time, she was involved with launching hundreds of successful scented products in many forms, from fine colognes to luxury scented candles and everything in between. She collaborated with some of the business’s most talented Perfumers and Evaluators. Now she’s excited to bring her expertise to every candle Artistscent creates.
How did they come up with the idea?
When Natalie Kuhles’ and her husband John bought a new painting from Ohio-based artist Ursula Brenner as a new centerpiece for their home, Natalie had a lightbulb idea! What would this beautiful painting smell like from the artist’s perspective? Thus, Artistscent was born!
