Song Review: “Forever Love” by Mew Suppasit

Thai artist Mew Suppasit has released his new single, “Forever Love.” This song would make for a perfect listen for anyone who enjoys R&B music. It would also make for a good listen for anyone who wants bilingual songs, as “Forever Love” has both English and Korean lyrics.

“Forever Love” starts with mid-tempo keys before a quick drum solo allows the song to pick up its pace. The whole beat consisting of keys, synths, and drums enters simultaneously as Mew Suppasits’s vocals. He starts with the memorable lyric, “Remember the waves when we were sailing down that open ocean,” which is a descriptive lyric with imagery that listeners will be able to picture in their minds. As the first verse continues, Mew Suppasit sings about a happy and carefree relationship in the past tense. In the chorus, he sings of wanting this person to help him through tough times: “Please don’t let me d-d-d-d-drown in these deeper waters/I’m floating in the feeling of this should be forever loved.” This also continues the ocean imagery, making it an overarching theme for the song.
