I look forward to working with this talented team to scale our innovations and enter new markets.”
Board and Investor Support
The appointment was unanimously approved by SyntecBiofuel’s Board of Directors. Dr. Elena Voss, Board Chair and Chief Technology Officer, praised Ms. Lee’s track record:
“Katherine’s deep expertise in commercializing clean-energy technologies and her strong network in key aviation and shipping sectors make her the ideal leader to propel SyntecBiofuel’s next phase of growth,” Dr. Voss said. “Under her guidance, we will accelerate global roll-out of our bio-jet, renewable diesel, and marine biofuel solutions.”
Strategic Priorities Under New Leadership
In her new role, Ms. Lee will focus on three key initiatives:
- Global Commercial Expansion: Negotiating offtake agreements with major carriers in Europe and North America.
- Scale-Up of Production Facilities: Overseeing completion of the Rotterdam demonstration plant in Q1 2026 and the Texas pilot facility by Q3 2026.
- Innovation Partnerships: Strengthening R&D alliances with top universities and technology partners to drive continual improvements in strain efficiency and process optimization.
“We’re entering a phase where strategic scale-up is just as critical as scientific breakthroughs,” Ms. Lee noted. “My immediate goal is to translate our pilot successes into multi-million-liter commercial operations that deliver real carbon-reduction impact.”
