Tell us about the founder. What is their background?
TV Personalities Jill Zarin and her daughter Ally Shapiro founded “Jill and Ally” and was born at the start of the pandemic as a give-back Fashion Face Mask Brand. Since then, they have leveraged their large social media followings and expanded quickly into other categories such as apparel, accessories, and home. You can find Jill & Ally on jillandally.com as well as brick and mortar stores like Aerie and Francesca’s. You might recognize Jill as the Original Cast member of Bravo’s hit show The Real Housewives of New York, and will see her this spring on the Peacock’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. Jill began her professional career as a buyer at Filene’s in Boston and later President of Jockey hosiery. Ally is a graduate of Vanderbilt with a master in contemporary art from Sotheby’s in London. Their style and fashion sense is what has made this mother-daughter duo into a very successful lifestyle brand.
How did they come up with the idea?
They noticed a huge demand for anything in the home area during the pandemic and thought of an idea. Why not put larges beautiful crystals into candles creating a new category with a sophisticated yet fun manifestation message in fun colors just like our brand!
