What problem does the Bubble Universe solve?

The Problem:

Bubble solution has been around since the beginning of time and has never changed. It has become a commoditized industry made almost 100% in China. In China, bubble solutions are made with harsh detergent-like ingredients with Chinese water that is not always filtered correctly in order to hit lower cost requirements. This trickles down to giving kids allergic reactions on the skin and upset stomachs if ingested. This is a major concern of parents and pediatricians. In the struggling hospitality industry out of the pandemic, they needed to drive entertainment and traffic to their locations with social media-hungry consumers. Innovation around bubbles has been extremely limited, and primarily focused only on children’s products. Seasonality has also limited the full potential.

Our Solution:

Bubble Universe is on a trajectory to reinvent how people of all ages interact with bubbles. Our bubble brands are a one-of-a-kind sensory, exciting, and completely safe experience. All our ingredients are food and USP grade so parents with young kids who already put things in their mouths can do so with no worries. Our bubbles are made in an FDA- registered, CGMP-certified, and allergen-free facility in the USA. We have partnered with the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) to give back to the community. 

Our current children’s product line, BubbleLick, creates naturally flavored bubbles you can lick! Flavors include watermelon, milk chocolate, glazed cinnamon roll, and cotton candy. We have also just launched a new bacon flavor for pets!

We also launched Bubble X: a thicker bubble solution that can be filled with aroma smoke to make impossibly cool-looking cocktails! You may have seen this at bars and restaurants. Bubble Universe

Tell us about the founder. What is their background?

Tiger graduated from Chapman University with a degree in economics and landed his dream job in Hong Kong at the largest manufacturer of bubbles and bubble toys. 

Spending four years in Hong Kong, his analytical prowess made him think that activity as wholesome as blowing bubbles deserved to be seen as a flying candy, not filled with chemicals and additives. There needed to be a better “solution” (pun intended!), so he decided to take matters into his own hands to make the experience of bubbles better for everyone. Bubble Universe

When a competitor purchased his employer’s company and fired everyone, there was a gap in the marketplace. That was the incentive he needed that catapulted him in a new direction to change how things were being done in the bubble industry for decades. This determined innovator would create groundbreaking products and never do things the old way again, improving the overall safety of manufacturing and ingredients while also focusing on delivering flavor like never before.

Tiger used his business savvy to team up with the best like-minded professionals to create the world’s safest bubble solution, so safe you can lick them. His partners included Dr. Dat Tran, a top U.S. pediatric immunologist allergist, and Li Wei Tan, a renowned formulation scientist who did a Ted Talk on Bubbles.

How did they come up with the idea?

Tiger works with world-leading scientists to ideate and develops Bubble Universe’s award-winning solutions. To develop BubbleLick, Tiger partnered with Dr. Dat Tran, a top US pediatrician, allergist, and immunologist to develop an effective bubble solution based on natural flavors and FDA-approved ingredients. 

To accelerate future innovations, Tiger brought on Dr. Li Wei, an R&D veteran with experience leading Merck’s organic electronic group where she used nanotechnology, material science, and analytical chemistry to change the consumer experience. Her popular TED talk, ‘The fascinating science of bubbles, from soap to champagne’, is a must-watch! Bubble Universe

How can this transform the world or our day-to-day lives?
