Contrary to popular belief, there is no one single secret to success. The reason why these stories are so impactful is simply that putting in the time and effort necessary to reach whatever we define as “success” is never easy, and is often far more difficult than we may initially think. Likewise, the reason why the stories we often read or hear of successful people resound with us so deeply is that they tell us that anyone — even ourselves — can become successful through dedication, perseverance, and a lot of hard work. Matt LeBris is one such story of success. Before obtaining the title of an award-winning entrepreneur, a Forbes “30 Under 30” nominee, and host of the top 1% globally-ranked podcast Decoding Success, LeBris faced setback after setback.

“When I was a teenager, I got kicked out of two different high schools,” says LeBris, “and when I was 17, I suffered a debilitating injury to my shoulder while playing baseball that crushed my dreams of playing sports professionally and resulted in the loss of my college scholarships. Not long after, I ended up failing out of college because I was studying something I had no real interest in doing or pursuing.”

But as LeBris’s own website states, he may have a proverbial Master’s degree in failure, but a Ph.D. in getting back up after every time life tried to knock him back down. Rather than lay down and let himself play the victim, LeBris was determined to show life that — one way or another — he would emerge victoriously.

Directly out of college, LeBris was able to land a brief 5-minute conversation with Shark Tank host, serial entrepreneur, and CEO Daymond John. That conversation turned into an internship, which later turned into a full-time job. LeBris would even go on to be interviewed by John directly on the Shark’s own platform.

Being entrenched within an environment ripe with an entrepreneurial spirit, LeBris realized that he had to funnel his passions and ambition into multiple projects. One of those projects would eventually grow into what would become his own success story; the Decoding Success podcast.

“Decoding Success was launched on December 4th of 2018,” LeBris adds. “At the time, I had just left my job with Daymond John and needed something to do as I was waiting for other projects to take off. We started the show by hosting David Meltzer and have now published over 200 episodes with more than 250 5-Star reviews on Apple.”

To date, some of the notable names LeBris has hosted on his podcast include: Grant Cardone, Dean Graziosi, Nicole Lapin, Mel Robbins, Dr. Nicole LePera, Dan Lok, Patrick Bet-David, Nicole Walters, Nely Galán, Dr. Caroline Leaf, Margaret Josephs, Dorinda Medley, Bruce Buffer, John Assaraf, Vegas Dave, and more.

The commonality between each guest on Decoding Success and LeBris is that they, too, all had to overcome their own struggles to reach success. By sharing these stories and being unafraid to have conversations that aren’t often had — talking about how society, culture, and parenting shapes us to be who the world wants us to be — LeBris and his guests spend each episode of Decoding Success diving into unmasking their personas from themselves and connecting with their true, raw essence.

“Each episode of the podcast centers around a topic that everyone can relate to,” LeBris says, “topics like personal development and being the best you by overcoming turbulence and forming positive habits that can change your life, finding and forming relationships as well as how to heal from breakups and set proper boundaries, and of course, business topics like balancing work with our personal lives, how to level up in your career, and so much more.”

Through adhering to his own drive for success and a passion for enriching the lives of others through guidance and real conversations, LeBris has grown Decoding Success into a top 1% globally-ranked podcast out of nearly 3 million available shows. His podcast is also top-ranked in the Apple Charts under the “Education” category in numerous countries.
