Young Professionals: Don’t Introduce Yourself, Present Yourself

While the country is venturing back into the workplace, young professionals shop for clothes and accessories to arm them for this new beginning. If you’re in the market for an upscale, professional version of the backpack, Preston Davis has the briefcase for you.

The company is called Young Professionals and the founder, Preston Davis, is excited to introduce his new luxury brand of hybrid backpacks and briefcases.

“I enjoy working as part of a team,” says Davis. “An experience where I can immerse myself in and provide a great deal of value for the company is something I am excited about.”

Young Professionals is a fashion brand that sells items that are a cross between streetwear and professional wear.

“We hope to revolutionize the fashion industry and provide amazing products to working professionals at reasonable prices, while still maintaining the same sense of luxury that other big-name brands provide.”

Davis is an African American entrepreneur from Oakland, California, who started Young Professionals with the help of his mentor Marquett Burton. He came up with the idea for the product when he was working for the high-end luxury department store, Bloomingdales.

“It all began with a sketch of a bag back in May,” says Davis as he explains the steps he took to get the bag produced. “With my mentor teaching me the ins and outs of business and leadership, to finally producing my product with a team that has been with me from day one.”

Seeing a gap in the market, he knew his hybrid backpack briefcase could be a potentially winning product. Sleek, black, and made of faux leather, this backpack briefcase is typically used by young professionals in work environments such as San Francisco but has seen widespread appeal all over the country.

Starting the company in San Francisco was a smart business move, as it is known as the “backpack city.” A backpack that also operates as a briefcase — and that lets the user swap between the two modes by having the straps retract inside the bag — was natural and in sync with the city’s sensibility.

Young Professionals focuses on creating products for working professionals from their 20s to their 30s by providing items that can be carried to the office or worn casually. The goal of Young Professionals is to bridge the gap between high-end designers and streetwear with custom-designed limited-edition products.

Young Professionals released only 250 of the custom-designed briefcase-backpack hybrids, and are ready to revolutionize the fashion industry with this unique approach to style and business. The product promises style, luxury, and utility; the bag has a clean and smooth look, and the bold black and gold color scheme pairs well with almost any outfit in your closet.

The bag is practical and features one large, padded laptop, a document section, and four smaller pockets to help you carry what you need to get the job done.

How is it going? In less than a year, Davis got the business up and running with more than a bit of help from his friends. “You might have a similar story,” says Davis. “There is something remarkable about you, and you should strive every moment to show the greatest part of who you are.”

Davis seems right at home in the business world and shows no signs of slowing down or resting on his laurels. “I look forward to gaining great value with this company so that I can contribute and further the goals and desires of the business.”

Young Professional’s product description says it all. “If you are bold, you can wield such a powerful tool out in the professional world. So, be bold, be a Young Professional.”
