What is the “Founder story”?
Megan Trottier is a mom of three boys living in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, Kevin. They’re a true Texas family – Megan was born and raised in San Angelo and went to college at Texas Tech, and Kevin’s a central Canadian who decided to brave the Texas heat and join her.
How did you come up with the idea?
Founder Megan Trottier learned how to play Mahjong in college and received her first Mahjong set as a graduation gift. As life moved on, the game took a backseat and was reintroduced during COVID, where she and three friends would play once a week. At this time, Megan had a side hustle painting on acrylic trays and thought, “Why don’t I do this with Mahjong?” and she created a storage tray for the tiles and cards. From there, the brand took off.
