It is normal to have headaches on regular days because you can take rest, nap, and treat them with medicines. But it is not okay to have headaches on days when your deadline is near, your assignments are due, or your workload is unbearable. Headaches are the leading cause of procrastination; many people agree that they feel less productive when they have migraines or headaches.

However, many of you can get relief from headaches instantly, whether at your home or your office.

  1. Use a Heating Pad or Hot Compress

Headaches caused by stress are hard to bear as it messes up your motivation and distracts you from your work. To treat it, all you have to do is take your iron and heat the piece of cloth, or you can buy a heating pad and then place it on the back of your head or your neck. It can also be helpful if you have a sinus headache. Make sure to hold a warm cloth to the place that hurts for a few minutes. If you are too tired of all that, then take a warm shower, which is also a good trick.

  • Try to have scalp-friendly hairstyles

One main reason for migraines or headaches is tight ponytails or scarves. The work stress mixed with the tightness around your head can be the cause of your headache. Try to loosen your ponytail or your headscarf.

3.   Have less exposure to bright lights

Sometimes bright lights can provoke headaches and migraines. It would be best if you got away from the place where the light is too bright, even from your computer. If you are at your office, take a small break and find an area with little to no light. At home, cover your windows with blackout curtains during the day. Hanging out with your friends, try  Wear sunglasses outdoors.

4.   Chew as little as possible

Constantly Chewing gum can hurt your jaw. But do you know that it can also cause headaches and migraines? Try to avoid munching on food that might increase your headaches. Make sure you take small bites when eating food during your headache.

  • Try a Cold Pack

The most common remedy to treat one migraine is using a cold pack. Put the item on your forehead. This pack can include frozen food too. But the most convenient thing one can use is ice cubes wrapped in a piece of cloth. But we all know Ice is good if it doesn’t melt. And to remove this obstacle from your path, Sherrie Pulie launches the Headache Hat.

The Headache Hat

Migraineur Sherri Pulie founded Headache Hat in 2013. Sherri was tired of using wet bags of ice or gel packs that don’t stay cold long. The product was launched as an innovative tool invented by Sherri Pulie. This handy tool provides relief by giving cooling ice therapy to the areas where you most likely are getting your migraine without having to worry about water running down your arms or temple. This easy-to-use product can be quickly wrapped around your temples, neck, forehead, or over your eyes. Make sure to keep it in your freezer. Both versatile and adjustable, this comfy tool is the wearable ice pack we all silently prayed for something like this.
