“National STEM Day is the perfect time to celebrate and explore the topics of science, technology, engineering, art, and math,” says Davianys Ramos, education sales manager at WonderWorks Orlando. “We love observing this holiday because it allows us to share our love for learning with all who visit and enhances the WonderWorks experience.”
To wrap up 2022, WonderWorks Orlando offers various educational programs and opportunities for students of all ages. They strive to offer unique programs that align with their mission of sparking the imagination and inspiring the next generation of scientists, leaders, and creatives. Some of the programs and activities being offered now through the end of the year include:
- A celebration of National STEM Day on November 8, 2022. Various fun, hands-on demonstrations, and experiments throughout the building will offer guests a chance to get up close and personal with all things STEM/STEAM. Science lovers of all ages can learn about insulation, density, buoyancy, and origami topics at this special event.
- Putting local artists into the spotlight with an annual youth art contest. Local young artists are invited to enter the contest for a chance to have their masterpieces put on display in the FLO-ART: Central Florida Youth Art Gallery inside WonderWorks Orlando. The theme for this year’s contest is “Brought to Light.” Central Florida students can submit artwork to their parents or their teachers at: https://www.wonderworksonline.com/orlando/art-contest/.
